Detailing your car in a drought
When water access is limited due to a drought (or you simply do not have easy access to water) try a "rinse-less wash" to keep your car clean. A typical home car wash uses about 35 gallons or water (same as an average shower). With rinse-less wash water usage is reduced to 3-5 gallons!
This process was developed years ago in areas of the country that often see drought conditions. With products like Optimum No Rinse (ONR) and micro-fiber towels you can safely wash your car with minimal water. This process is not recommended for cars that are covered in dirt or mud.
