Brent Mathieson

Founder, Chief Executive Officer
IDA Certified Detailer, Skills Validated

Brent Mathieson, alongside his wife of 30 years, Jen, and their eldest son Tucker, proudly operates Revive Auto Detailing as a family business. After spending over two decades in corporate America, Brent decided to follow his true passion for vehicle appearance and community connection by founding Revive on April 1, 2017. Choosing April Fool’s Day was a playful nod to those who doubted his decision to leave his corporate career to start his own business. Now, with his family by his side, Brent finds joy in serving the community and sharing his love for cars.

Brent's journey in the automotive industry began in the 1990s, with roles at Ziebart as an undercoater and at a gas station/service shop. Known for his expertise in efficient interior detailing and his love for meticulous work, Brent can spend hours perfecting the smallest details, particularly in interior and engine bay detailing. He holds an impressive array of certifications, including IDA Certified Detailer/Skills Validated, Flex, System X, and P&S, among others.

What drives Brent is his commitment to serving the community and supporting his staff’s growth. He thrives on the satisfaction of seeing older cars restored to their former glory and believes in continually honing his leadership skills. Brent's dedication is evident in memorable moments like catching himself on fire during a detailing job and single-handedly detailing 250 cars in Revive's first year. His philosophy for customer satisfaction is simple: always exceed expectations by doing one extra thing, whether it's cleaning a key fob or a garage door opener, and handle every situation with empathy and respect.

A fun tip from Brent for maintaining your car's appearance? Have multiple cars and drive the dirty one! Looking to the future, he aims to retire but also to further refine his leadership and coaching abilities. Outside the garage, Brent is an outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, mountain biking, and taking long drives with the top down to clear his mind. His first car was a VW Rabbit, and his dream car is an Audi S4 Avant. For Brent, every day at Revive is an opportunity to combine his love for cars with his passion for community, making each detailing project a labor of love.

In addition to leading Revive Auto Detailing to become one of the top detailing businesses known for delivering unparalleled client experiences, Brent has recently embarked on a new venture, Revive Business Planning. Here, he leverages his wealth of expertise from over two decades in corporate America, specializing in sales and business strategy, to assist small business entrepreneurs in developing business plans aimed at establishing a foundation for growth. Services offered include annual planning, client journey mapping, sales process development, customer surveying, and marketplace research.

A memorable experience for Tucker was his first day at the AFO project in Seattle, surrounded by industry professionals and historical significance at the Museum of Flight. Another standout project was working on an original Porsche 356 roadster, showcasing Revive's capabilities on a collector's car.

Tucker ensures customer satisfaction by equipping his team with the tools they need to deliver top-notch service and handling challenges with empathy and a customer-first approach. He advises car owners to keep a few clean microfibers and a spray detailer on hand for quick maintenance between detailing sessions.

Looking ahead, Tucker is excited about the future of Revive and aims to continue growing the business, with aspirations for a larger, custom-built location. He also plans to further his training in PPF installations.

Outside of work, Tucker enjoys customizing his vehicles, participating in car shows, and spending time at the track. His first car was a 1998 Volvo V70r wagon, and his dream car is his 1985 Toyota MR2, which he plans to keep forever. Fun fact: despite his iconic mustache and mullet, Tucker started Revive clean-shaven with a high and tight crew cut!

Jennifer Mathieson

Chief Creative Officer

Director of Elevated Experience

Jen is not your typical car enthusiast here at Revive. Her enthusiasm for cars has more to do with the story behind the car than the actual car itself. She has always been fascinated with the design history and marketing campaigns of cars, mostly from the 1950s and 60s. Since taking on the role of Chief Creative Officer back in 2021, she has developed a deep love and respect for the personal and touching stories so many of our clients have shared with us about their vehicles.

Jen's ability to bring these car stories to life through writing allows us to share these moments with others and preserve these memories for years to come. She also uses her storytelling skills in design. The atmosphere the moment you walk into Revive tells the story of a local family business that wants you to feel welcomed, relaxed, and cared for. We believe that is one of the main reasons our clients feel so at ease to have a seat and stay awhile. The coffee and snacks may have a part to play in that as well!

Her first car was a 1985 Saab 900, a standard, which she adored so much that despite not knowing how to drive standard, she had Brent (her boyfriend at the time) test drive it for her and then drive it off the lot. They spent 30 minutes down at Hampton Beach where Brent had her practice on hills before she had to drive to work in Kittery, ME! Since then, Jen has owned many cars, including about nine different Mini Coopers. Recently, she purchased a 2016 Porsche Macan S, and not since her beloved Saab has she felt this much love for a vehicle!

When not at the shop, you can find her enjoying time at home with her dogs Enzo Furrari and Dune Buggy or at the beach.

Alyssa Leighton

Detailer

Alyssa Leighton, a dedicated Detailer at Revive Auto Detailing, has been driven by her lifelong passion for cars and five years of hands-on experience as an automotive mechanic. With an eye for detail, she excels in meticulous interior detailing, always focusing on the small touches that make a big difference. Although she hasn't yet received formal certifications, her unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and love for transforming messy cars into pristine conditions keep her motivated.

One memorable experience at Revive involved cleaning an entire wild turkey out of a car. This unusual and challenging task showcased Alyssa's ability to tackle unique assignments with ease. She stays updated with the latest trends and techniques through social media, always aiming to ensure customers leave happy. Her personal tips for maintaining a car's appearance include keeping it garage-kept whenever possible and avoiding eating inside the vehicle.

Alyssa aspires to become certified in ceramic coating and PPF (Paint Protection Film) in the coming years while deepening her knowledge of the best tools and products for restoring car paint. Outside of work, she owns a lowered BMW E46 330i and is working on a project car that will soon be drift-ready. Her first car was a 2008 Ford Fusion, but her dream car is the iconic BMW E46 M3.

Alyssa’s dedication, passion, and expertise make her an invaluable member of the Revive team. Her love for cars and commitment to excellence ensure that every vehicle she works on leaves the shop looking its absolute best.

Brought my "new to me" 1985 Porsche 911 to them for exterior, interior, preservation, ceramic coat.... everything. This car has a lot of personal, sentimental value and they treated with top level care and respect, updating me during the entire process with pictures to tell the story. I couldn't be happier with the entire service and will now take all my cars to them. Thank you, Revive.
